Dos Santos poised for Inter move?

It would be fair to say that the writing has been on the wall for Giovani Dos Santos for some time, with the Mexican midfielder making no secret of the fact that he wants to leave White Hart Lane as soon as possible. It now looks as though his agent has been busy trying to orchestrate a move, telling the press that his client already has several options, with Inter Milan being one of these.

Dos Santos has experienced a terrible spell at White Hart Lane since his high-profile, £4.7m move from Barcelona back in 2009. At that time, the attacking midfielder was viewed as a huge prospect and it was widely thought that he would set the top flight alight. However, in total he has made just two league starts for Spurs, with the majority of his football being played during loan spells at other clubs. The likes of Ipswich, Galatasaray and Racing Santander have all benefited from his services on a temporary basis, with the player probably experiencing the most success in La Liga.

Following on from the above, the 23-year-old has constantly announced that his intention is to leave the club at the earliest opportunity. In fact, at one point Dos Santos went as far as saying that he would be happy to run his contract down if Spurs did not allow him a transfer now. Fortunately, Andre Villas-Boas also wants him out of North London as early as possible and is willing to listen to any transfer offers.

This has allowed his agent, Vicente Morales, to get to work immediately and he told calciomercato.com, “We have several options and we need to weigh them all up. The truth is that Gio has always wanted to play in La Liga or Serie A so that’s what we’re aiming for. Inter is one of the possibilities, I can’t deny that.”
