Sissoko has failed to deliver

Tottenham Hotspurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has stated that Moussa Sissoko has failed to deliver since his move from Newcastle United.

He said that he was expecting more from the midfielder and the player has yet to justify his price tag.

Mauricio Pochettino stated that the player needs to show his determination and to show him that he wants to play. He said that at the moment the player is not doing a lot on the training ground and that he is not willing to fight for his place.

Moussa Sissoko has managed only five starts since the start of the season and was not even on the bench for the match that saw his team face Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino said that he has been disappointed by the player’s attitude so far this season and that he is looking for a change in his mentality.

Mauricio Pochettino said that not because the team has spent money on Moussa Sissoko that he will be able to play in the first team. He believes that there are more capable players at the moment and that Sissoko will have to work hard if he wants to get a place in the team.

He believes that other players are doing much more in training and that they fully deserve their place in the team. Mauricio Pochettino said that this is similar to any other clubs and that only players that want to fight for their place will be making it into the first team.

Mauricio Pochettino said that Moussa Sissoko has enough time to change and to improve. He believes the player has the potential to play for Tottenham Spurs, but he needs to show more determination and aggressiveness on the pitch.

He believes that injuries have affected the team this season and that the season will become better as the season goes.
