Pochettino proud of his players

Tottenham Hotspurs manager Mauricio Pochettino said that he is proud of his players at the moment.


He believes that they are giving their best on the pitch and that he could not ask for more.

He said that they will keep pushing Chelsea until the end of the season and will take their chances if ever the leader drops some points in the future.

The manager said that each player is committed to the team and that they all want to win the title.

Mauricio Pochettino said that team had not been affected by the absence of Harry Kane as other players such as Son has risen to the occasion and help the team win important points in the title race.

The Spurs manager said that the objective of the team is to finish as high as they can in the table. He said that they could have been closer to the top if the team did not make a slow start to the season. However, they recovered magnificently to end up where they are in the title race. If there ever was an example of a player massively underachieving following a big money move, David Bentley is probably it. Bentley joins FC Rostov

It would be fair to say that the writing has been on the wall for David Bentley for some time, with the 28-year-old clearly not featuring in Andre Villas-Boas’ plans. Having now had time to assess his squad following his high-profile appointment, reports are now suggesting that Andre Villas-Boas has told six Spurs players that they no longer have a future at White Hart Lane.
