Privacy Policy

We care about your privacy and keep data use to an absolute minimum.

Keeping the site tracker-free

We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, tracking pixels or ad networks. This means nothing follows you around or builds a profile while you enjoy the site.

When you use the contact form

The contact form asks for a name, an email address, a topic and a message. These details are used only to reply to you. They are emailed to the site team and kept no longer than needed to deal with your message.

Stopping spam

To help stop spam the sender’s IP address is turned into a one-way code and kept for about an hour. This limits how many messages can be sent. The IP address itself is never stored.

Helping sort real messages from spam

Messages are passed to an automated service called Grok, run by xAI, so it can help separate genuine messages from spam.

Cookies on the site

The site itself only sets cookies for the people who log in to manage it. No other cookies are placed on your device by us.

Content from other services

Some pages show pictures and posts from X (Twitter) and may include content from Facebook, Bluesky or YouTube. Those services can see your IP address and may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

Sharing our articles

New articles are shared to the site’s own social media pages. No visitor data is passed to them.

Your rights if you are in the UK or EU

Visitors in the UK and EU can ask what personal data is held about them and ask for it to be corrected or deleted by using the contact page. They can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

This page may be updated from time to time.
